10 on 10- April Edition

Wait. Whoa. It’s April 10th. When did that happen? I guess I can’t believe it because Colorado decided to bring January back like JT brought sexy back only no one is sexy when frozen solid and snot is draining from their face. It’s 15 degrees and dropping and all I can see right now/dream about are Margs on a beach. Cause it’s 5 o’clock somewhere-FOLKS!
Anyways, glad you are all here to make the circle of the 10 on 10 girls. Go visit Ashley next, I love the way she sees things! This month I kept it simple with random musings from the month from my new obsession INSTAGRAM. [pssst:You can find me at nicole_dina]
I am a total i-phone newbie. & could kick myself for not getting one sooner……. because life with kids changes in a instant annnnnnnnd sometimes all you have is that one instant. to get that one shot. of that one moment. that your fancy smancy huge giant camera sitting on your desk which I might add hasn’t seen the light of day in over a month would never get because your too lazy to run downstairs and then back up again.
That was a mouthful.
Whew.

Somebody slap me, How is it MARCH? I did these in OCTOBER. This fall was full of blessings and I was SO grateful to get back down there to visit with friends and photograph their families. It is sooooooooo my love language-I ask myself daily how I got so lucky-here I am doing something I LOVE. Here is the first in a series of SEVEN. The McD’s. Beth is my sister from another mister.For real. When my husband was deployed she called me EVERY SINGLE DAY to make sure no one murdered me at night. Now if that isn’t true friendship now-a-days…… I tell you, SOUL SISTAS. I love short people in general, but add sarcasm and I am yours forever. xo.

The sun is flirting with the horizon a little bit longer these days-so goes spring dance.
Nature, of course, leads while we all follow in giddy anticipation, looking for ways to leave the weight of the winter behind us. And so, with spring’s promise looming, there is no better time to bring its lightness of being to our daily source of rejuvenation.
& Spring can’t come soon enough. As I am typing a blizzard swirls, reminding me of it’s dance with winter.
I wanted this month’s post to be about my sweet and only little girl. My heart changed forever the day this little bean was born.She made me a mother. Something about that will always tie me so deeply to my daughter. The drastic changes each year brings & with spring looming I yearn to stop her from growing. My love for her grows more entangled into the depths of my soul and into places I never knew I could love from.
Kenna:I can’t even put into words what you have done to my heart, sweet Bean. With eyes like marbles and a heart of Gold. With your red cowgirl boots, red-bow hairband, and tutu (that you where everyday) you make light shine through your smiles. You are strong and fierce yet tender and soft. I wish I could bottle up your empathy and sweetness to share with the world. Always keep you head held high & Love the hell out of life because that’s what you have taught me. I love you to the moon & back. And always know I would move mountains for you, I would swim the depths of the sea for you, and fly as high as I could to make you know my love.

hello blog world. we haven’t seen each other since, hmmmm, October? I guess that’s what happens in the fall? ha!
i am so excited to start this year off with an amazing group of photographers doing this super cool 10 on 10 project. 10 photos. on the 10th.
BOOM.
life had other plans, as hard as I tried-getting this started in January it was NOT happening. computer crashed-blog crashed-& we decided to remodel the second round of renovations needed in our home. anyways enough about that-here i am! hive fives all around!!!! i am back and ready to share SO many photos!
at first I thought I would do a theme, but then I realized. my life isn’t a theme & the whole point of me wanting to join in on this project was just to capture photos of my family. nothing fancy.
plain and simple.

Is this not one of the best looking couples? I love when I get clients from Texas because my heart misses that place!!!! High-school sweethearts & just still so in love…….. How awesome is it to have a session where you just focus on each other? Makes you stop in your busy day to day life and enjoy life. I really need to do this with my Dane & SOON. I hope to see you again and spend more time with you guys. Come shoot some gophers at my place, ha!

You see, I see this whole photography thing as more* than taking pictures. I am a story teller. I maybe only here for a fraction of time your life, but oh.my.word. when the lighting is right…..it is just magic! I know I say this alot, but I LOVED THIS FAMILY.
